Port of Zante

Ferries and Ferry Companies Operating
(Zante, Ionian Islands, Greece)

The main ferry company operating service to Zante is Endeavor Lines, which is a subsidiary of Hellenic Mediterranean Lines. Other inter-island services between Zante and Kilini are undertaken on a hydrofoil.

Hellenic Mediterranean Lines

Endeavor Lines operates a ferry connection between Zante and the Italian port of Brindisi.

In 1960, the Greek National Tourism Organisation ordered the commission of a new ferryboat in the Adriatic. This was the Egnatia, which was owned and operated by the Hellenic Mediterranean Lines company. This vessel serviced a route from Brindisi to Igoumenitsa, and finally to Patras.

Regular service involves a route from Brindisi to Patras. After arrival at the port of Patras, a local connection is made to the port of Zante. The voyage to Patras takes approximately 15 hours by ferry.

The MV Elli T carries passengers on to Patras. It can accommodate 1,100 passengers, 450 cars, and 75 trucks. The ship's features include: a game room, a casino, an a la carte restaurant, and a self service restaurant. There's a main lounge with live music, as well as facilities that permit camping on the deck.

The ship accommodates those with disabilities and passengers with any special needs should make those known at the time of making the reservation.
